Timeless Book 2: One More Time

Our new landlord, Alec, has a certain something about him. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something familiar yet unfamiliar about him. Objectively speaking, he's attractive, but that doesn't really matter to me as I only have eyes for women. However, his intense, piercing stare captivates me, making it hard to look away. Those eyes make me feel like he can see right through me, as if he knows all my deepest secrets. Sometimes, I feel like I barely even understand myself.

One thing I do understand, though, is my commitment to my family and friends. When your best friend is gay, you learn to be a great straight wingman at the gay bar. And if, every now and then, you end up hooking up with a guy, well, it's not a big deal right? It's just a way to let off some steam. But when Alec shows up, ready and willing to help me "relax", I know it's a bad idea. However, I find myself unable to resist his advances. I tell myself it's just a one-time thing, but deep down, I know that might not be true. Maybe just one more time won't hurt, right?
